This beautiful sculpture was carved from walrus tusk ivory, it is depicting two seals communicating with each other. The scrimshaw carving is very detailed with many small intricate lines. This carving has been signed by the artist under the scrimshaw picture by Yuet Shaw. The length of the tusk is 5.5 inches with a diameter of 1 1/8 inches at the base. The tooth weighs a solid 72.5 grams.
